Achieving world-class educational excellence

The biggest challenges are ones that are largely generic in nature and likely to be faced most privateinstitutions:

  • Higher education policy: This is a major influence determining the success of a university. Issues related to priority areas, funding, determination of fees, regulation of education will allimpact on universities.
  • Financial situation in India and globally: This influences intellectual migration, ability to pay private fee, choice of subjects (eg arts suffered during the recession).
  • Competition from Indian and foreign universities: mainly related to fees, scholarships, attracting high quality staff
  • Human resources: Attracting and retaining the best talent to any university is a challenge.

The Apollo Group has tremendous credibility as a mature and high performing organization. We are therefore confident that we will be able to attract the best students and staff to our campus. Some of the extrinsic challenges, such as global finance and policy are to some extent beyond our control. However, the Apollo Group has decades of experience in keeping pace with changing health care and education policies both in its health care delivery as well as education related activities. This experience gives us the advantage of always being responsive to change, a culture that we will bring to our University. In healthcare, and in education, the ‘Apollo Brand’ stands for excellence and quality equivalent to international standards. The new University will be an extension of this unique brand allowing us to provide student and staff experience equal to the best in the world.
